Sarah Jessica Parker Bio
Sarah Jessica Parker
Sarah Jessica Parker (born March 25, 1965) is an internationally recognized Emmy-winning American Actress with an extensive portfolio of both television and movie work. Most famous of all her roles is that of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City which began in 1998 and ended in 2004. In addition to her acting work, she is National Ambassador for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF.
Career
Publicity Still from the late 1980’s
With co-stars of Honeymoon in VegasParker got her first big break as an actress in 1982 when she was cast in the CBS sitcom Square Pegs. Playing Patty Green - an awkward teen trying to be cool but not quite managing it - she won critical acclaim. The short lived show lasted only one season before being cancelled by the network but it had been a valuable kick start to Parker’s career. In the two years that followed, she was cast in four films - the most significant of those being Footloose in 1984. The remainder of the 1980s was filled with TV Specials and largely mediocre movies - but at least she had steady work and Parker was becoming a much respected actress, if not a publically recognised one.
By the early 1990s her career was gaining momentum. In 1991 she appeared in the Romantic Comedy L.A. Story - both the movie and her performance garnered some positive reviews. The following year she landed an important starring role in Honeymoon in Vegas in which she starred with Nicholas Cage and once again, Parker and the movie were a big hit with the public. A less successful comedy came the following year (1993) in the shape of Hocus Pocus, in which she played opposite Bette Midler. The same year she starred in a different kind of film - this time an action/thriller titled Striking Distance. The next year saw her star opposite Johnny Depp in the classic movie Ed Wood - consistantly listed as one of the finest movies of the 1990’s this was her biggest break yet. Miami Rhapsody in 1995 saw her back on familiar territory with more Romantic Comedy material and a leading role. 1996 was a busy year as she had leading roles in six movies, with the most important of them being Mars Attacks! which was one of the most commercially successful pictures of the year.
After a quiet 1997, Sarah Jessica Parker’s career was about to sky rocket. The script for an HBO Drama/Comedy series titled Sex and the City had been sent to her and the show’s creator Darren Star was determined to bag her as his star of the project. He didn’t need to convince her much, Parker adored the script and she quickly signed up to the ambitious project. Before long her co-stars - Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis were in place and work on the pilot began.
GAP Print Ad from Spring 2005The first season of the show proved to be an almost instant success and the show’s refreshingly honest approach to sex - and indeed the humour of sex - struck a chord with viewers. During the production of Sex and the City’s fifth season, Parker was also working on romantic comedy Life Without Dick. It didn’t matter when that picture flopped at the box office - by that time Sarah Jessica Parker had made the transition from "Promising Newcomer" of the 90’s to bona fida superstar.
Her transition to status of "Superstar" was helped along by her influence in the world of fashion. With a natural sense of style second to none, Sarah Jessica Parker quickly became one of the worlds most stylish and adored celebrities. But her status as one of the world’s "Best Dressed" is certainly not an indication of a lack of greater talent. In addition to work in movie and television, she is also a very highly respected Stage Actress. Lead roles as a dog in the critically acclaimed off-Broadway play Sylvia, alongside husband Matthew Broderick in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and the Tony Award-nominated Once Upon a Mattress as Princess Winifred the Woebegone are some of her most critically acclaimed performances. After the international smash hit Sex and the City bid its final farewell in 2004 and after six seasons she won an Emmy award for her role as Carrie Bradshaw. Her first project after Sex and the City was an unexpected one. In 2005 she had a small role in the Sundance Film Festival movie Strangers with Candy - far from the glitz and glamour of her flagship TV series, the movie was about a recovering drug addict. But her career has not been without failure. In the Spring of 2005 her status as a leading style icon took a knock when American fashion giant GAP axed her from their advertising campaign. She was replaced by relative unknown Joss Stone - a British Soul Singer.

Patricia Heaton Life
Patricia Heaton
Patricia Heaton (born March 4, 1958) is an American actress best known for playing Debra Barone on the television sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond.
Heaton was born in Bay Village, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of well-known Cleveland Plain Dealer sportswriter Chuck Heaton. Her mother died when she was a small child. She moved to New York City to study with drama teacher William Esper after graduating from The Ohio State University.
Heaton made her Broadway debut in the musical Don’t Get God Started, after which she and fellow students created Stage Three, an off-Broadway acting troupe. When they brought one of their productions to Los Angeles, Heaton caught the eye of a casting director for the ABC drama thirtysomething, in which she played an oncologist, leading to three appearances on the series. She was featured in three unsuccessful sitcoms - Room for Two (1992) with Linda Lavin, Someone Like Me (1994), and Women of the House (1995) with Delta Burke - before landing the plum role of beleaguered wife, mother, and in-law Debra Barone in Everybody Loves Raymond (1996 - 2005) with Ray Romano, Doris Roberts, Peter Boyle, Brad Garrett, and Monica Horan. Since 1999, she has been nominated every year for an Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy, winning the award twice. She has also collected two Viewers for Quality Television awards and a Screen Actors Guild trophy for her work on the series.
Heaton’s television movies include Shattered Dreams, Miracle in the Woods, A Town Without Christmas, as well as the remake of Neil Simon’s The Goodbye Girl with Jeff Daniels, and The Engagement Ring, both for TNT. Her feature films include Memoirs of an Invisible Man, Beethoven, and Space Jam.
Heaton is a pro-life activist and is the honorary chairperson of Feminists for Life, a nonsectarian, nonpartisan organization (whose members include Jane Sullivan Roberts, wife of John Roberts) opposed to domestic violence, child abuse, infanticide, and, especially, abortion. She is an active Republican and supporter of President George Walker Bush. Paris Hilton Life
Paris Hilton
Paris Whitney Hilton (born February 17, 1981) is an American celebrity, known primarily for her partying ways and her television shows. She is an American heiress of the Hilton Hotel fortune and her father’s real estate fortune, she is a socialite, model, singer, and actress. She has been described as a "celebutante," a portmanteau of "celebrity" and "debutante"
Background
She was born in New York City, the eldest of four children of Richard Hilton and Kathy Richards. Her younger sister is Nicky Hilton, and her younger brothers are Barron Hilton and Conrad Hilton.
On the maternal side of her family, Hilton is a niece of two popular child stars of the 1970s, Kim Richards and Kyle Richards, who appeared in the motion picture Escape to Witch Mountain and TV shows like Nanny and the Professor, Little House on the Prairie, and later, ER. By marriage, she also is related to Zsa Zsa Gabor (the Hungarian-born actress who married Paris Hilton’s great-grandfather Conrad Hilton) as well as Elizabeth Taylor (the actress’s first husband was Paris Hilton’s great-uncle, Conrad Nicholson Hilton Jr.).
Her paternal grandparents are hotel chairman Barron Hilton and his wife, the former Marilyn Hawley, and her paternal great-grandparents were Hilton Hotel founder Conrad Hilton and his first wife, Mary Barron. When Conrad Hilton died in 1979, he left nothing in his will to his children or other descendants. Barron Hilton contested this decision and won in 1988. According to Forbes magazine in 2005, the net worth of Barron Hilton is estimated at just over US $1 billion, of which Paris is expected to inherit a little over US $50 million.
Hilton moved between several exclusive homes in her youth, including a suite in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Manhattan, Beverly Hills, and the Hamptons. Currently, her parents own a $10 million mansion in Bel Air, a $6.3 million estate in the Hamptons, as well as $3 million house in the Hollywood Hills in which she and her sister stay to give them privacy and easy access to LA clubs.
After attending high school at the Dwight School in New York, but dropping out and eventually earning a GED, Hilton decided not to attend a university. Instead, she worked as a fashion model for Catherine Malandrino and Marc Bouwer, and on an ad campaign for Italian label Iceberg. She appeared in cameo roles in Zoolander (2001), The Cat in the Hat (2003) and Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! (2004).
What really shot Hilton to prominence was a sex video of her with her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon, which was leaked onto the Internet shortly after The Simple Life debuted, causing a sensation. On June 9, 2004 it was released as a DVD titled 1 Night in Paris which was hosted by Salomon. Hilton sued Salomon for releasing the tape, but the suit was settled, with Hilton receiving US $400,000 and a percentage of the profits.
Hilton is often seen with her teacup Chihuahua, Tinkerbell.
Model, actress, entrepreneur
In recent years Hilton has gained recognition by appearing in television, movies, commercials, and modeling. According to Forbes magazine, in 2003-2004 she earned approximately US$2 million for her television and movie roles, but in 2004-2005 her earnings from television, movies, modeling, and personal appearances have earned her an additional $6.5 million. During this period Forbes Magazine has ranked Hilton as one of the top 100 celebrities in the world.
She also appeared in the short subjects QIK2JDG and L.A. Knights, as well as minor and supporting roles in the feature movies House of Wax, The Hillz, Wonderland, Uptown Girls, Raising Helen and Nine Lives. She landed her first lead role in a theatrical release with National Lampoon’s Pledge This! (2005).
Hilton and Nicole Richie (daughter of Lionel) starred in the 2003 FOX hit reality series The Simple Life, in which they lived with a family on their farm in rural Altus, Arkansas. Highlights of the show included the girls performing poorly at various jobs, making out with the local boys, and numerous instances of them shown as "fish out of water." On March 19, 2004, Hilton suffered a horseback riding accident while filming The Simple Life 2, requiring treatment at a hospital. Following the success of the first season of the show, Hilton is now being paid around US$3 million per season.
In April 2005, however, Hilton announced that she severed both personal and professional ties with Richie. Neither party has commented on the reason why, though Hilton has alluded that it is due to actions on the part of Richie. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Hilton hosted a party to watch her performance as host of Saturday Night Live, but that Richie switched the SNL tape with a tape of Hilton’s infamous sex video.
Paris Hilton parodied on the satirical cartoon, South Park. She was also the subject of a negative South Park episode entitled "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset" in which she opens a store called "Stupid Spoiled Whore" selling girls everything they need to emulate her.
In November 2004, Hilton participated in Sean "P. Diddy" Combs’ Vote or Die campaign, to encourage youths to vote in the Presidential election. She drew criticism when it was revealed she did not vote, nor had she even registered to do so. Ironically, she would somewhat fulfill her theoretical obligation to "die" when the promoters of her film, House of Wax, employed a notorious "See Paris die" advertisement campaign, highlighting the death scene of her character in the film.
On top of her acting career, she has also helped to design purses for Samantha Thavasa and Toys for Tots, and has created her own jewelry line for Amazon.com. Currently, her design work earns around US$250,000 per year.
She is the founder of Heiress Records, a label on which she plans to release her debut album in 2006, tentatively titled Paris is Burning. Her first single entitled ‘Screwed’ has been leaked to the Internet and has been remixed by Alex G. Her producer for the album will be Jane Wiedlin from The Go-Go’s. Hilton will also be working with Scott Storch. She will be covering Blondie’s hit ‘Heart of Glass’ for her album. She describes the album as pop, rock and hip hop, she says it sounds like Blondie and Madonna.
Celebrity
Hilton and her sister, Nicki, are known for their jet-set lifestyles. Paris in particular has been trying to build herself into a marketable brand much like Donald Trump, claiming she must be regarded as a role model.
She has been widely discussed by tabloids. In 2000, the National Enquirer reported a casual friendship with Leonardo DiCaprio as something far more intimate. She has, however, also been linked with others young guys too, including actor Edward Furlong, boxer Oscar De La Hoya, model Jason Shaw, Chicago Bears football player Brian Urlacher, and singers Rob Mills, Deryck Whibley, and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter. While Hilton was dating Carter, she sported bruises, which caused rumors that Carter may have beat her. This rumor was neither confirmed nor denied by Hilton at the time. A few months later, she announced that those "bruises" were from a magazine photo shoot (just when the magazine was coming out.) She was, for this reason, blamed by the press.
Hilton has also received some gossip attention for a variety of other incidents, mainly party antics. She has been said to have pushed in front of others in line for a public bathroom, saying she only wanted to look at herself in the mirror. She has reportedly danced on the top of bar banquettes, worn shirts reading "Got Blow?," and other times worn no top at all. One of her more famous quotes is: "What’s a soup kitchen?" Her most famous quote, however, is probably "That’s hot," as she has used it in myriad situations.
Hilton received an offer from the U.S. version of the reality TV show "Big Brother" to participate in their show. Rumors said she has been offered more than US$1.8 million. If she will agree to be in the reality-show, “she will join a bizarre band of ex-strippers, beauty queens, a married couple and a virgin, who are living under 24 hour scrutiny on the set".
Paris has also been featured in several television commercials including a T-Mobile commercial for which she was paid $250,000 and her Carl’s Jr. commercial (see more below) for which she was paid $400,000 according to Forbes Magazine.
Hilton has been a spokes-woman for the products of GUESS clothing.
In the fall of 2004, Hilton released a book, Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose, which brings full color photographs of her and gives her tips on the dos and don’ts of living as an heiress. Hilton was reportedly given a $100,000 advanced payment for this book. Some in the media panned the writing as amateurish, and the book was parodied by Robert Mundell on The Late Show with David Letterman. Still, it became a New York Times bestseller.
She has a new book that will hit shelves in September.

The cover of the March 2005 issue of PlayboyIn the March 2005 issue of Playboy, she was named the "Sex Star of the Year" in their list of the 25 Sexiest Celebrities. Someone appearing to be her was on the cover of the issue, but she did not pose for it; she says she does not know where Playboy got that picture.
Hacked address book
On February 19, 2005, the contents of Hilton’s personal T-Mobile account were posted to the Internet. They included phone numbers (which included many celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, Fred Durst, Eminem, Lindsay Lohan, Alsou, Jay-Z, Anna Kournikova, Snoop Dogg, Andy Roddick, Benjie Paras, Avril Lavigne, Frankie Muniz, Ashlee Simpson, Jerry Yan), notes (with even more numbers and email addresses and reminders such as her date to host Saturday Night Live), and thirty-five digital snapshots. In two of the leaked photos, Hilton is standing topless next to the MTV Latin America’s VJ Eglantina Zingg, whom she kisses. This further added to the speculation that Hilton might be gay or bisexual. Many of her notes showed heavy usage of Internet slang.
Within days, it was revealed that Hilton’s account could be accessed by anyone guessing the answer to the "forgotten password" challenge question she chose: "What is your favorite pet’s name?" As the answer to this question is a matter of public record, an anonymous party was able to guess it and notify the press.
In September, it was reported that a 17-year old teenager in Massachusetts, known by his online alias Cam0, plead guilty to accessing Hilton’s account and making bomb threats. He was sentenced to 11 months in a juvenile detention center and prohibited from using computers or other devices that can connect to the internet for two years.
"That’s hot!"
"That’s hot!" is a phrase used by Hilton (although an earlier usage is attributed to her Simple Life co-star Nicole Richie [10] and has been used by others for many years). The catch phrase, a synonym for "That’s cool" or "That’s awesome," has since been parodied in pop culture outlets such as Saturday Night Live and even by Hilton herself, on The Late Show with David Letterman.
In 2004, Hilton filed a successful request to trademark the phrase. She wishes to market clothing with the phrase prominently emblazoned on the garments; she felt it was time to trademark the phrase because "I’ve been saying it forever. I want to put it on T-shirts and stuff like that."
Advertisement controversy
Another controversy involving Hilton was her appearance in a Carl’s Jr. television advertisement, originally broadcast in May 2005. In the commercial, which introduces the restaurant’s "Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger", Hilton wears a provocative swimsuit and soaps up a Bentley automobile and herself before taking a big bite out of the burger.
This has drawn criticism from television watchdog groups, including the Parents Television Council. The research director for the PTC, Melissa Caldwell, says; "This commercial is basically soft-core porn. The way she moves, the way she puts her finger in her mouth - it’s very suggestive and very titillating." The Los Angeles, California based group says they plan to mobilize their more than 1 million members to contact the restaurant chain and voice their concern.
Andy Puzder, CEO of Carl’s Jr., says the group needs to "get a life… This isn’t Janet Jackson; there is no nipple in this. There is no nudity, there is no sex acts; it’s a beautiful model in a swimsuit washing a car." Puzder was referring to the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show controversy. According to Forbes Magazine, Carl’s Jr. paid Hilton $400,000 for filming in this commercial.
FOX News host Bill O’Reilly speculated that Hilton did not in fact eat the burgers she endorsed and was therefore dishonest, inviting her to come on his show The O’Reilly Factor and eat one of the burgers on the air, thus proving him wrong. Hilton has not thus far acknowledged the invitation.
In addition to featuring the ad on their website, Carl’s Jr. has also built a separate site to play a longer version of the commercial. A similar ad with Hilton for Hardee’s hamburger chain (also owned by Carl’s Jr. parent corporation CKE Restaurants) is expected to air June 2005.
Before this deal with Carl’s Jr., Hilton lost out on a $750,000 multi-commercial deal with Burger King because the company did not feel her sexy image was a good fit with their brand.
Perfume & Cologne
In early May of 2004, Parlux Fragrances (who have made fragrances for Guess, Perry Ellis, XOXO) announced that they would be releasing a fragrance line created by Hilton. The perfume would be aptly named "Paris Hilton". The scent was described as "a brilliant flirtatious charm, this head-turning fragrance can be dressed up or down for both day and evening wear." The scent consists of "an ethereal halo with delicious notes of frozen Apple and juicy Peach Nectar wrapped with sparkling Muguet and a splash of wet Ozone. A luminous bouquet of sensual floralcy is at the heart of this fragrance. Delicate Mimosa Blossoms are entwined with sheer Freesia and Night-Blooming Jasmine petals, while heady, rich Tuberose provides depth and texture."
The perfume launch was a success. Originally set to be a small release , demand became popular and they had a wide release before Christmas of 2004. The launch was a big part of the Parlux stock increasing 30%. Ilia Lekach, a CEO at Parlux, said "I am delighted with our record performance and I’m optimistic regarding results through the end of our fiscal year. We have recently commenced shipments of our Paris Hilton fragrance which has surpassed our expectations."
After the success of Hilton’s perfume, Parlux Fragrances had her create Paris Hilton for Men, a cologne that has a "sensual aura." The packaging states : "Paris Hilton knows how she likes a man to smell, so she has created a scent to share with her male admirers around the world." The colgone is available at Lazarus-Macy’s. Sales reports are not available.
On South Park, she has a perfume dubbed Skanque.
Engagement
Although she has been linked to many other famous men, on May 29, 2005 it was announced that she was to marry her boyfriend of five months, Paris Latsis, son of Gregory Kasidokostas and Mariana Latsis, a Greek shipping heir.
However, on October 1, 2005 Hilton announced that the five month engagement had been called off, saying "I feel I’m just not ready for marriage." See also: Paris Hilton & Fiance Paris Latsis @ SPIDER, video (8 May 2005, ourmedia)
She was also engaged to Tommy Hilfiger model Jason Shaw from mid 2002 to early 2003.
Criticism
There have been arguments that Hilton is a "good for nothing" celebrity, and that her appearances in films and on TV are "phony" and aimed at promoting herself. Much of this media scrutiny has only served to propel her to greater lengths of fame. Some critics, however, have given her credit for her work in modeling (before 2001, when she became a public figure) and dramatic ability, and consider Hilton’s carefully crafted image to be the reason for her success. The only thing that both the critics and public credit her for doing is ‘Opening the doors for other rich girls or "heiresses" wanting to be famous.’

Christina Aguilera Life
Christina Aguilera
Christina Maria Aguilera (born December 18, 1980 in Staten Island, New York), colloquially known as Xtina, is an American-born pop singer-songwriter of Ecuadorian and Irish descent. She is most often recognized by her notable vocal abilities and unorthodox fashion sense. Her vocal skills have been compared to those of singers such as Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, and she is one of the most prominent recording artists of her generation. She has achieved four number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, as well as two top five albums and 4 Grammy Awards in the United States.
Early Years
Christina Aguilera grew up mainly in the Pittsburgh suburb of Wexford, Pennsylvania, after living in various places around the world. Her father, Fausto Aguilera, is a U.S. Army sergeant of Ecuadorian descent, and her mother, Shelly Loraine Fidler (now known as Shelly Kearns), is a Spanish translator from Newfoundland, Canada, and of remote Irish descent. Aguilera’s parents met while Fausto was serving at Earnest Harmon Air Force Base in Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Since Aguilera was able to talk, she set a goal to become a professional singer. As a child she performed at block parties and in talent competitions — defeating opponents with little effort. Aguilera soon gained media attention, and was known to some as "the little girl with the big voice".
On March 15, 1990, she appeared on Star Search singing Ella Fitzgerald’s "Sunday Kind of Love", but failed to win. Soon after losing on Star Search, she returned home and appeared on Pittsburgh’s KDKA-TV’s "Wake Up with Larry Richert" to perform the same song again. Later on, she would sing "Vision of Love", Mariah Carey’s first single, and astonished everybody in attendance by hitting every riff and note, including Carey’s trademark whistle register note. People remarked that the then-ten year old "sounded twenty".
Throughout her youth in Pittsburgh, Aguilera sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" before Pittsburgh Steelers football and Pittsburgh Pirates baseball games. Her first major role in entertainment came in 1993 when she joined the Disney Channel’s variety show The New Mickey Mouse Club. Her co-stars included Britney Spears, as well as Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez (who went on to join *NSYNC) and Keri Russell (who would go on to become the star of Felicity).
Aguilera’s first hit single was "All I Wanna Do", which was a collaborative effort recorded in Japan with Japanese pop sensation Keizo Nakanishi. In 1997, Aguilera competed in an international singing contest at the Golden Stag Festival in Transylvania, Romania, where she shared the stage with Sheryl Crow and Diana Ross. In 1998, after proving herself as a singer with a high, powerful chest voice, singing the High "E" note an octave above middle "C" on a cover of Whitney Houston’s "Run to You" which she recorded with an old tape recorder in her bathroom, she was selected to perform the song "Reflection" for the Disney animated production of Mulan (1998). The music video promoting the film featured a young Aguilera with bobbed hair. It was her first music video. "Reflection" peaked at number fifteen on the Adult Contemporary Singles Chart. The song was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for a Motion Picture in 1998.
Christina Aguilera: Debut
Aguilera on the cover of her 1999 debut album, Christina Aguilera.Under the exclusive representation of Steve Kurtz, her self-titled album, Christina Aguilera, was released on August 24, 1999. It reached the top of the Billboard 200 and Canadian album charts, selling over eight million copies in the United States alone. It was released the same week as Puff Daddy’s long-awaited second album Forever, and showed Aguilera’s instant rise to fame by beating him to the number one spot. "Genie in a Bottle", "What a Girl Wants", and "Come on Over (All I Want is You)" all reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 during 1999 and 2000, and "I Turn to You" peaked at number three. However, Aguilera did not only enjoy commercial success; it became obvious that the industry thought she had talent when she won for Best New Artist at the 2000 Grammy Awards. She was also nominated for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Genie in a Bottle". "Obvious", the final track of the album was one of the original demo tracks that was sent to Ron Fair before Christina was signed with Aguilera’s record label, RCA.
In 2000, Aguilera first emphasized her Latino heritage, following the Latin Pop trend of the time, by releasing her first Spanish-language album, Mi Reflejo. This album contained Spanish-language versions of songs from her English debut as well as new Spanish tracks. It reached twenty-seven on the Billboard 200 and number one on the Latin album charts. In 2001, the album won Christina a Latin Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Album. The single "Falsas Esperanzas" from the album reached the top forty in Argentina in 2001. Ricky Martin asked her to duet with him on the track "Nobody Wants to be Lonely" from his album Sound Loaded; the song was released as the second single from the album in 2001, reaching the top five in the United Kingdom and Germany, top twenty in the U.S., and top forty in Canada, Switzerland, and Australia.
Just Be Free: unauthorized material
Aguilera on the cover of Just Be Free at the age of 15.In 2000, a single emerged into record stores called "Just Be Free", one of the demos Aguilera recorded when she was about 15 years old. When RCA Records discovered the single, they officially advised fans not to purchase it and had German authorities pull the single off shelves as well. Months later, Warlock Records was set to release Just Be Free; an album which contains the demo tracks.
Aguilera filed a breach of contract and unfair-competition suit against Warlock and the album’s producers to block the release. Instead, the two parties came to a settlement to release the album. Aguilera lent out her name, likeness and image for an unspecified amount of damages. Many of the details of the lawsuit remain confidential. When the album was released on August 21, 2001, it had a photograph of Christina when she was fifteen years old.

Although Aguilera’s album was very well received, she was dissatisfied with the music and image her management had created for her. At the time, Aguilera was marketed as a bubblegum pop artist, because of the genre’s upward financial trend. However, she publicly mentioned plans of her next album to have much more depth, both musically and lyrically. Steve Kurtz’s influence in matters of the singer’s creative direction, the role of being her exclusive personal manager and overscheduling has in part caused her to seek legal means of terminating their management contract.
On October 13, 2000 Aguilera filed a Breach of Fiduciary Duty lawsuit against Kurtz for improper, undue and inappropriate influence over her professional activities, as well as fraud. According to legal documents, Kurtz did not protect her rights and interests. Instead, he took action that was for his own interest, at the cost of hers. The lawsuit came about when Aguilera discovered Kurtz used more of her commissionable income than what he was allotted, and had paid other managers to assist him. She also petitioned the California State Labor Commission to nullify the contract.
When she terminated Kurtz’s services, Irving Azoff was hired as her new manager. The change in management marked a new change in how Aguilera was marketed, as well as what music she would do in the future.
Kurtz countersued on October 27 for breach of contract, claiming that the singer violated the same agreement she had sued to void. In the lawsuit, he included others close to Aguilera, alleging their intent to sabotage his business relationship with Aguilera. He also singled out Azoff for being in violation of the terms of Kurtz’s contract.
Stripped: Career Development
Aguilera on the cover of StrippedOn October 29, 2002, after much delay, Aguilera’s second full-length English album, Stripped, was released in the U.S. The album was not received as well as her debut by most critics. The majority of Stripped was co-written by Aguilera, was about eighty minutes long, and influenced by many different subjects and music styles. "Impossible", a collaboration with Alicia Keys, is a jazz-inspired song about someone who is trying to get through to one who is quiet and withdrawn. "Soar" is a gospel-inspired song about becoming self-reliant. "Make Over" is a pop rock song about becoming an individual and people trying to change her. Aguilera’s most emotionally challenging song on the album could possibly be "I’m OK". This track chronicles in detail how Aguilera was abused as a young child by her father, and she thanks her mother for her love through that time in her life.
However, Aguilera’s vocals were much overlooked as she began to cultivate a more sexually provocative image. After the release of the album, she took part in photo shoots for magazines such as Maxim, Rolling Stone and Cosmo Girl. Many of these photographs featured her nude or semi-nude. She denied that this change was a matter of publicity, claiming that the image better reflected her true personality than did the image she cultivated back in 1999.
Initially, the raunchy image had a negative effect on Aguilera in the U.S. While the video for "Dirrty" became a huge hit on MTV, it stalled at a disappointing forty-eight on the Hot 100 and quickly fell off the singles chart. However, the song was a huge hit worldwide, reaching number one in several countries and on the World Chart. The album entered the U.K. and U.S. album charts at number two, and at number three in Canada, where they all ultimately peaked. Despite going double-platinum in the U.S. after only eight weeks on the chart, the album began to drop quickly with nothing but Aguilera’s star power to back it up. The second single, "Beautiful", was quickly released in the U.S. in late 2002. It instantly became a huge radio hit and allowed three more hits to be released from the album in the following two years: "Fighter", "Can’t Hold Us Down", and "The Voice Within". The success of subsequent singles off the album gave Stripped massive staying power, as it stayed on the album charts well into 2004. This staying power was demonstrated most effectively in the UK, where the album remained consistently in the top twenty album charts between late 2002 and late 2004. Stripped went on to ship four million copies in the U.S. and ended up at number ten on Billboard’s Year-End Album Chart. The album also went quadruple platinum in Australia despite only reaching a peak of number seven, again a reflection of its consistency between late 2002 and 2004. Kelly Clarkson’s first single ‘Miss Independent’ was cowritten by Aguilera, and was originally supposed to be a song on Stripped. Aguilera was the number-one Billboard Female Artist (albums and singles) of 2003; however, she did not attend the event, and the award was given to Beyoncé, who was the number-two female artist of that year. This caused much controversy amongst fans.
The Stripped Tours
In early 2003, Aguilera aroused much commentary when she gained a noticeable amount of weight. Unflattering photographs of her flabby midsection spilling out of her conventionally skimpy costumes were circulated. She was quoted as saying, "I couldn’t care less about stupid diets. Eating is sensual and fun. I’m not going to let it be spoiled by calorie-counting." Later, she gave the reason for her weight gain as preparation for her upcoming Summer tour.
On June 4, Aguilera joined Justin Timberlake on the final leg of his international "Justified" tour, held in the U.S. This portion of the tour became a co-headliner called the "Justified & Stripped" tour. On August 9, an overhead lighting grid collapsed from the ceiling of the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, causing major damage to the sound and video equipment below. Since the collapse occurred hours before the performance, only a few stagehands were injured. As a result, a few shows were cancelled or postponed. In the fourth quarter of that year, Aguilera continued to tour internationally without Timberlake, and changed the name of the tour to simply the "Stripped" tour. Meanwhile, she dyed her hair black. The tour was one of the top-grossing tours of that year, as it sold out most of its venues. It also was named by Rolling Stone readers as the best tour of the year.
In light of the tour’s success, another U.S. tour was scheduled to begin in mid-2004 with a new theme and featuring Chingy as an opening act. The tour was scrapped due to Aguilera’s vocal chord injuries suffered shortly before its opening date. It was later reported by The Sun tabloid that low ticket sales and lack of new material were actually the major factors in the tour’s cancellation. Aguilera has since denied the report.
Post-Stripped Events
Aguilera and Madonna during a performance at the 2003 MTV Video Music AwardsIn a tribute to Madonna’s performance at the inaugural MTV Video Music Awards’ ceremony, Aguilera performed a much-publicized lesbian kiss with the singer-actress at the 2003 edition of the ceremony on August 28. The incident occurred during the opening performance of Madonna’s songs "Like a Virgin" and "Hollywood"; however, it was heavily overshadowed by the kiss between Madonna and Britney Spears during the same performance.
A January 2004, ZOO Magazine (a Danish men’s magazine) article reported that Aguilera is possibly bisexual. The article quotes her stating in an interview: "I find it hornier looking at women than men. Sorry, I love experimenting with my sexuality. If that means girls, then so be it." The article also reports that Christina enjoys casual sex. "I have casual sex, I love casual sex. But that doesn’t mean I’m incapable of keeping my legs together," Aguilera is quoted as saying. Because of the tabloid nature of articles in ZOO, the factual accuracy of the article is dubious.
Aguilera hosted Saturday Night Live on February 21, 2004, and participated in various parody skits such as "Do You Know Who My Father Is?" which lampoons Win Ben Stein’s Money, and a skit parodying the movie You Got Served. Her dead-on impersonation of Kim Cattrall’s Sex and the City character, Samantha, was also praised.
Aguilera later decided to embrace a more mature image; this move was met with more praise than criticism, with articles using punch lines such as "From Crass to Class". She eventually dyed her hair cherry-blonde and recorded a jingle, "Hello", for a Mercedes-Benz ad, becoming the new face of Mercedes-Benz. Shortly after, she dyed her hair blonde and cut it short, and took on a Marilyn Monroe look; she is believed by many of her fans to be one of the main proponents (along with Gwen Stefani and Ashley Judd) in bringing back the 1930s-1940s Hollywood glamour look.
Image used in the Declare Yourself billboard campaign. Photograph by David LaChapelleIn the run-up to the 2004 United States presidential election, Aguilera was featured on billboards for the "Only You Can Silence Yourself" online voter registration drive run by the nonpartisan, nonprofit campaign "Declare Yourself". In these political advertisements, Aguilera is shown with her mouth sewn shut, to symbolize the effects of not voting.
In late Summer 2004, Aguilera released, almost consecutively, two singles. The first, "Car Wash", was taken from the soundtrack of the hit movie Shark Tale. It is a collaboration with popular rapper Missy Elliott, and is a cover version of Rose Royce’s disco hit. The second song is also a collaboration, but this time as a second single from one of Nelly’s double-release albums, Sweat, titled "Tilt Ya’ Head Back". Aguilera appeared at the MTV Video Music Awards to perform it with him; it was a visually striking and effective performance in which Aguilera, a la Judy Garland, started her belting perched atop a grand piano. Aguilera copied another legendary look for the video: Marilyn Monroe’s. Both singles flopped commercially in the U.S., but did considerably better in other parts of the world; "Tilt" reached number one in a few countries, including the Philippines. "Tilt Ya’ Head Back", formerly rumored to be "Tilt Cha’ Head Back", was well received in the U.S. at first, but sales quickly deteriorated mainly due to its lack of radio appeal and promotion. In spite of its promotion, "Tilt" recently went platinum in Australia for selling over 40,000 copies, while, "Car Wash" was certified gold for sales of over 25,000 copies. "Tilt" was later certified gold in the U.S. by the RIAA in 2005.
After much delay, Aguilera’s first DVD live-recording from a concert tour, Stripped Live in the UK, was released in November 2004, excluding her performance of "Make Over", due to its similarity with the song "Overload" by the Sugababes. In late December, she officially released a fragrance, Xpose, which has only been available in a few European countries.

Will Smith Life
Will Smith
Willard Christopher Smith II (born September 25, 1968) is an African American actor and rapper. He is one of few people who has enjoyed success in the three major entertainment media in the United States: film, television, and the music industry.
Biography
Smith was born and raised in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the second of four children. He often uses the line "West Philadelphia born and raised" to describe his roots. He is a graduate of Overbrook High School. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, but chose to pursue acting instead.
Will Smith started his career as The Fresh Prince, the vocalist of the hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, which included childhood friend Jeffrey "DJ Jazzy Jeff" Townes as turntablist and producer. The duo was known for performing humorous, radio-friendly songs, most notably "Parents Just Don’t Understand" and "Summertime".
Smith was a charismatic and energetic performer, and in 1990, the NBC television network signed him up and built a sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, around him. The show was successful and ran for six seasons.
Although he made a notable dramatic film debut in Six Degrees of Separation (in which he played totally against type as a gay con man) while still appearing in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Smith’s film career took off with his role in Bad Boys (1995) along with co-star Martin Lawrence.
After The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air came to an end in 1996, Smith began a successful solo career in music and simultaneously starred in a series of films. The first two films were hugely successful summer blockbusters: Independence Day (1996), where he plays a fearless and confident fighter pilot, and Men in Black (1997), where he plays the comic and confident Agent J against Tommy Lee Jones’s deadpan Agent K. Smith’s acting in Men in Black won critical praise, and both films established Smith’s commercial reputation as a "bankable" star who had appeal across age, race, and gender, and could "open" a film at the box office.
Lead roles in Enemy of the State, Wild Wild West, Ali, Bad Boys II and I, Robot then followed. His most recent film is 2005’s Hitch. (Like Smith, Hitch co-star Kevin James starred in a sitcom named for royalty, The King of Queens.)
Smith was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of the boxer Muhammad Ali in Ali.
Smith also released a string of hit singles, often associated with his most recent film, throughout the late 1990s. The most notable of these were his #1 hit theme song "Men in Black", the #1 hit "Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It" (which made jiggy a catchphrase for a while in 1998), and "Just the Two of Us", an affecting message to his young son. His first two solo albums went platinum, but his third, on Columbia Records, was a sales disappointment compared to his past efforts, and after a quick Greatest Hits release that was almost not advertised at all, he was dropped by the label. He signed a recording contract with Interscope Records and released the so far, moderately successful Lost and Found in 2005.
On July 2, 2005, Smith served as host for the Live 8 concert in his native Philadelphia before an enormous crowd, and later performed a set with DJ Jazzy Jeff.
Smith married actress Sharee Zampino in 1992. They had a son, Willard Christopher III, also known as "Trey". They divorced in 1995. Smith married actress Jada Pinkett in 1997. They have had two children: Jaden Christopher Syre (1998) and Willow Camille Reign (2000). Along with his brother Harry Smith, he owns Treyball Development Inc., a Beverly Hills-based company named after his first son. With all his commercial success, Will Smith is arguably the biggest star in today’s pop culture and his wealth has continued to grow as his name has continued to appear in Forbes Richest 40 under the age of 40.

Jeri Ryan Bio
Jeri Ryan
Jeri Lynn Ryan (born February 22, 1968) is an American actress known for playing the shapely Borg Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager and for her relationship with Jack Ryan.
Childhood
Ryan was born as Jeri Lynn Zimmerman in Munich, Germany to American parents. She has one younger brother, Mark. Her father was in the United States Army and raised the family on military bases all over the country including Kansas, Maryland, Georgia and Texas. Finally, at the age of 11, her family settled down in Paducah, Kentucky when Ryan was 11. After Ryan graduated high school in 1986 as a National Merit Scholar, she attended Northwestern University, where she was a member of Alpha Phi sorority. While in college, she enrolled in beauty pageants and swimsuit competitions to pay for tuition. In 1989, Ryan became Miss Illinois and won the Miss America swimsuit competition, while coming in fourth for the Miss America title in 1990. Ryan graduated college in 1990. She stands 5 ft 8 in tall.
Career
Jeri Ryan. After college, Ryan decided to pursue her dream of an acting career. Her husband encouraged her and even gave her a plane ticket to Los Angeles. She moved there and made her first acting debut as an extra in Planes, Trains & Automobiles, but was cut out of the final version. She continued to act in commercials and eventually TV shows like Melrose Place, Matlock, and The Sentinel as well as TV movies like Co-Ed Call Girl. Her big break came when she won a regular role as an extraterrestrial investigator named Juliet Stuart on the TV show Dark Skies. The show was cancelled after one season, but the role drew the attention of the science-fiction community.
In 1997, Ryan was cast to play Seven of Nine, a Borg drone freed from the collective on the science fiction series Star Trek: Voyager. The role drew her instant fame and her wardrobe made her a sex symbol among some science-fiction fans. It also drew criticism from some fans who felt that character was created to add sexuality to the show, and who felt that a disproportionate number of episodes that followed her addition to the cast focused on her character to the exclusion of others. However, her appearance also coincided with higher ratings and more positive critical reviews of Voyager, which were partly attributed to better screenwriting and partly due to her character being both intrinsically interesting and well-acted.
After Voyager ended in 2001, Ryan joined the cast of Boston Public in the role of Ronnie Cooke, a frustrated lawyer who quits to become a high school teacher. The show’s producer, David E. Kelley, wrote the role specifically for her. The show was cancelled in 2004.
Ryan has recently appeared in movies such as Down With Love.
Personal life
In 1990, while dealing blackjack at a charity event, Ryan met investment banker and future political candidate Jack Ryan. The couple married in 1991 and had a son, Alex, in 1994. Throughout their marriage, Ryan and her husband took turns commuting between Los Angeles and Chicago for their careers, but finally divorced in 1999. Ryan had mentioned in an interview for Star Trek that the frequent separation between Chicago and Los Angeles had been difficult for their marriage. The reasons behind their divorce were kept sealed.
In 2004, details of her divorce proceedings with Jack Ryan were unsealed by a California judge despite appeals by both parties to keep them sealed, claiming that the information could be harmful to their son if released. It was revealed that, six years before, she had accused Ryan of attempting to coerce her into sexual acts with him in public, and in adult clubs in New York, New Orleans, and Paris. This information led Jack Ryan to withdraw his Republican candidacy for an open United States Senate seat in Illinois. Ryan had previously enjoyed a strong showing in the polls, and the Republican party was left without a strong replacement candidate, so the unsealing of the Ryan’s divorce records may have made the difference in enabling Barack Obama to win the election.
After her marriage ended, Ryan began a relationship with Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise executive producer Brannon Braga. Her most recent TV appearances have been as a recurring character, Charlotte, on the hit show, The O.C..
In February of 2005, Ryan announced the opening of her restaurant, Ortolan. Located on Third Street in Los Angeles, California, the restaurant serves French food with a modern interpretation. Ryan opened the restaurant with her boyfriend, Chef Christophe Eme.
